11 May 2010

On my way back from Frampton with Nick where we have been to see the Oriental Pratincole, so we missed out on Westport this morning, Steve Seal made a visit this morning, no sign of the Barnacle Goose this morning but Steve did have a male Ruddy Duck which is a first for the year and 1x Common Sandpiper and 1x Little Ringed Plover.
Where on the way back now hoping to get back to see the Ruddy Duck.

Made it back to Westport this afternoon to see the male Ruddy Duck, (that puts us on 105 for the year species list), just had 6x Tufted Duck, 4x Mute Swan and x6 Great Crested Grebe on the main lake & boating lake, a Buzzard was flying high up and at a distance, in the Nature Reserve, at least 2x Reed Warbler, 1x male Reed Bunting, 2x Mute Swans and 5x new Coot chicks, only a flying visit so not much seen, I won't be down for the next few days, hope to be able to make it down on Friday afternoon, so lets see what manages to turn up over the next few days!!
