Westport this morning from 05.50 - 08.00, weather was warm and very foggy, couldn't see across the main lake making it difficult to count ducks etc, temp was 16c and no wind.

The 'Avenue' area was very quiet with the Blue Tits being the busiest feeding there young, a couple of Blackcaps where singing and a single Chiffchaff, On the boating lake, 2x Great Crested Grebe and 3x Mute Swans, the grass verge had 2x Little Ringed Plovers and a couple of Pied Wagtails busy collecting food, it was difficult to see much on the main lake but 7x Mute Swans, 3x Great Crested Grebes, Shoveler x1, and a single Tufted Duck was noticed.
In the Nature Reserve, another 2x Blackcaps, 2x Chiffchaff, at least 3x Reed Warblers, 1x male Reed Bunting also 1x Great Spotted Woodpecker and 1x Willow Tit were heard.
The gas/sewage works were quiet again, just 1x Whitethroat, 1x Willow Warbler and 3x Stock Dove.

Total species seen 39.
