Very quiet down Westport this morning, it was almost a case of the same as yesterday, although no sign of the Coal Tit family, the Canada Geese creche has moved to the canal side by the playing fields and after several counts I only managed 30 which means we have lost one!
Great Crested Grebe still sitting on boating lake, they must be due to hatch soon, and the single Little ringed Plover was on the beach with 2x Tufted Ducks on the ramp, 4x Great Crested Grebes with two nesting on the Reserve side of the main lake, and 12x Mute Swans on the main lake and the usual one on the top pool with its young on its back. Also still at the top pool 2 Reed Warblers but I think there are at least a couple more in there.
The gas/sewage works were a bit quiet with a couple of Stock Doves and the same in Whitethroats, only 1x Chiffchaff heard.
It's been a quiet month not helped with the weather conditions, a complete breakdown of the month will follow in the next few days.
